Bah, all your replies do is flame windows and promote flame
wars. First of all, Windows is a GUI, linux is a text interface,
that makes it faster. Secondly, Opensource or not, that has nothing
to do with how good quality it is, most open source is complete and
utter crap since it is written for ease of reading and portability
for people who cannot think or figure stuff out on their own (That's why
they need open source to begin with).
And you speak for yourself when you say "They" can optimize
better than "you" can. I am one of "them". I am one of the gods
of programming, I am not a mere mortal like yourself. I do not look
at something and say "They're good and better than me blah blah, I
will use their crap". No, I figure out for myself, and try to do
better, who says someone is better than me? I have my own mind,
I do rely on someone else. I question how and why something works.
Linux wasn't made by GOD or how you make it out to be, it's
mostly crap. I freeze it all the time, emacs is slow as dog shit.
And anything that's done in Linux can be done in DOS faster! As
for C libraries, some DOS libs were optimized in Assembler where
linsux crap was all written in C.
>But seriously we should probably keep to the topic
>here people.
Yes, you should! And you can't even read! That's why it said
"NON idiots" All you do is flame, I didn't start this flame war or any
other, I just get sick of your ignorant replies. Someone asks a question
you throw in 10 flames, READ MAN FILES or something stupid. If you don't
have something good to say, don't fucking reply. I didn't flame weasle for
using linux or promote anything during my C reply to him, yet you reply after
I already helped him and start flaming everyone.
Someday, you'll learn about computers. Until then, live in the world of the
user, I'm the dream maker. I am the magic maker. I make what you use.
Yes, forget Linus Toravolds and all those other people. I don't have idols,
I'm not lame like that. They are just people, like me.
All your posts are ignorant, I remeber you made some stupid sockets program
and used port like 47 or something!!! Don't you know that ports 1024-5000
are for user defined and ports below 1024 are already existant protocols?
Yet when someone pointed this out you gave them an ignornat response, Oh, I
don't need that blah blah, it's open crappy source (Which I could probably
optimize). Yet you promote linux and open source, but ignore industry
standards?
How lame.
For any newbies out there, don't follow his example. If you want to learn,
do it.
Don't rely on other people, you are your best optimizer. When I first
started learning
assembly, I had written 1 or 2 programs, someone sent me their operating
system code
and asked me to fix it. Like, I was a complete newbie, but I managed to
fix their
memory allocation and deallocation modules and optimize them. The one's
inner loop
when from 10 buggy instructions to 2 solid instructions. Here's a guy
working on
an Operating System for 5 years that sends a complete newbie code to debug,
I was
wondering, why's he making an OS! I didn't know anything about that stuff,
yet
I helped him out in more than one way. He even used some of my other code
to convert strings and integers. He had a degree in EE and knew a lot of
electronics.
Yet he was making an OS and I contributed to it. So, why should you put
anyone
on a pedistal because of their accomplishments. They were once a newbie as
well,
who by questioning or making an effort to try something new they accomplished
something. That's me. That's not Matt.
Matt, if you don't want flames, don't post stupid comments. I am better
than you
obviously. Have fun being a typical computer user while I succeed beyond.
This
may be egotistical, but I am sick of your stupid comments when you
obviously suck
really bad.
I am thinking about getting into electronics now, programming is becomming
too easy.
I mean, making toys like remote control cars and stupid dolls like ferby
don't seem
like they would be all that complex to make.
If you just think about componets, ferby is a Motherboard with a sound card
and
motors hooked up thru ports. Now, of course that would be a bit big using
something like a 386 or so with a sound blaster, but using a small processor
like an 8085 or a motorola and then making the motherboard yourself, making
the
program in assembly and burn it on ROM chips sounds like fun. I don't know
any electronics now, but I think that's the way to go, I need to get back to
real programming. APIs are just too simple. I mean, I feel guilty when using
sockets since it's too easy! I mean, what happened to hooking the IRQ,
parcing all
incomming bytes seperating the packets yourself into useable data. They do
too
much for you programming anymore is like cheating.

I want to be the one who does that, who does the real programming for users
like
Matt to use blindly use without question.
Matt, keep blindly using code other people write, read open source cause
you can't think up stuff on your own and keep on ignoring industry standards!
Way to go Matt!

"Supposidly" look it up. And like I mentioned, I haven't used/seen it,
I was going by "Word of mouth" look that up too.
> I guess neither of you have seen the glibc sources then eh?
Bah, you praise little people like Linux Toravolds who basically all he
did was come up with an IDEA. Yet you insult "Micheal Abrash" the
programming and optimization _GOD_. John Carmack begged that guy to work at
ID software.
John Carmack infact learned PCs from that guy when he first switched from
Amgias.
>ADam,
>he who still prefers linux, but reconizes the need to run the evil.
Thanks Adam, for your honest reply. I don't condem those who want to run it,
I condem those who are ignornat and stupid.
>WOW!!! You are the greatest... Forget Linus Torvalds,
>Alan Cox, RMS, Andrew Tridgell you are obviously far
>superior in both intellect and penis size!!!!
Jelousy is a bad thing. I guarentee I optimize and program better than you.
You see those names listed? Mine will be one of them someday. As for you
other newbies, you can either join me or become a Matt.
P.S.
Don't bother replying I have unsubscribed to this list until real programmers
subscribe. No offense to anyone but Matt.
