What I'm doing is writing a program that reads the MAC address, looks it up in a database and than changes the computername in the Win95 registry accordingly. This is needed for a project that works with images.. Eian wrote: Hmm, what are you doing exactly? It sounds like perhaps you are developing a driver? If so I would assume that you are using an NDIS base. Again, if so, I can't give you particiulars, but I know that there is a interface function in the NDIS driver that provides the card's address. Hope this helps, Eian On 16 Jun 99, at 16:14, Lord Corani Dayanisi wrote: I'm posting this again.. I'm desperately searching for a method to find a Network Cards MAC (node) address without using any protocols like IPX or so. My program will be executed BEFORE any protocol is loaded, so it has to be protocol-less. If anyone has code laying around, please send it to sttd@xxxxxxxxxx.xx Thanx for the answers, but it'll need to work in Dos/Win95, so no linux please.. Thanx.. ____________________________________________________________________ Get free e-mail and a permanent address at http://www.netaddress.com/?N=1
