Linux is advancing rapidly in the game department letely. Check out: http://www.timecity.org/arms.html If you want to get involved with a game project. Also there are a number of free 3D engines available. One that looks really good is Crystal Space: http://crystal.linuxgames.com/ Check out the screen shots there, they look awesome. >>From the webpage: "Crystal Space currently compiles and runs on Linux, general Unix, Windows, Windows NT, OS/2, BeOS, NextStep, OpenStep, Rhapsody, DOS, Amiga, and Macintosh. It can optionally use Direct3D (Windows), GGI (Linux), Allegro (DOS), X11 (Unix/Linux) and SVGALIB (Linux). It can also optionally use assembler routines (GCC/DJGPP, Visual C++ and Intel only currently) and MMX if the processor supports it." === Matty . http://members.xoom.com/mattpratt/ _--_|\ mattpratt@xxxxx.xxx / \ s3099239@xxxxxxx.xxx.xxx.xx \_.--._/<--Canberra, W2K - The other millenium bug. v Australia _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
