hey. this time im trying to stay on the subject of programming (like everybody else in the last two years - read OT as On Topic :) when i get out of uni im looking at a career in some form of software developement. im already a reasonable assembly programmer and have just about got the grasp of djgpp (and, of course, the illustrious qbasic; where would we all be without it :), but i dont know any windows languages (apart >from delphi which i dont really count cause i hate it. the code is ridiculously bulky - cardinal sin #1). i want to get started on visual c, but i dont know whether to go for borland (or inprise or whatever they are now) c++ builder of microsoft visual c. does anyone know which is more commonly used and which would be most beneficial to me in 'the industry' :) im not bothered about how easy they are to use, just how powerful they are and how relevant they will be to my future. cheers, woofcow woofcow@xxxxxxxxx.xxx Sponsored by Wrox Press - www.wrox.com.
