Hi. I want to write a program using DirectShow that capture
a video signal, mix it with some text lines (the text change during the
process) and then plays it in real time (with the text already inserted)
at the same time that it's recorded at the hard disk (in mpeg format if
it's possible).
If I play the video before I put the text on it the solution
isn't hard to implement (I guess). My problem is the real-time edition.
I know that I can do it with expensive video capture boards that do the
work before deliver the signal to the edition program. But I can't spend
more than U$1000 in a single board.
If the solution via DirectShow or a similar isn't possible,
I was thinking about write a program that get the signal from video
capture board and deliver it to the DirectShow capture component already
modified (with the text). But for that I will need to know what kind of
signal the board delivers (), and how to 'talk' with the board (or his
driver) directly (I have no idea if it is or is not possible in
Windows).
I hope you can understand what I want to say, because my
english isn't very good. I'm new in the progamming world, and even more
new in the Windows progamming world, so if my doubts sound a little
stupid, please don't kill me!!
