The C++ Training Guide by Steve Heller is really great. it's what i learned on and it taught me more than my csc 190 course in college, so... it teaches from the ground up so you don't have to know ANYTHING goin into it (it pretty much teaches a lil of c, too). and it teaches tons of terms that are relevant to any programmer, plus it taught me a LOT about really deep hardware stuff that i had no clue about. it explains what a bit it and how to read binary and what machine code really is and it touches on asm. plus, its got a cd with it (usually. i got the book off a friend and he lost it. and i read the book completely without the cd and was still able to learn a lot) that has video clips of him talking. sorry to go on so long about it, but i really think its a good book. -justin _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
