They do ........
I spent the weekend with one of the technicians from the Mclaren F1 team, he deals with the weather side of the race and does a lot of communication with the Pits especially if its raining.
Saterday was flat out, if anyone watched qualifying you can vouch for that and the instruments were going haywire.
Sunday was as quite as a mouse, some skidded showers here n there and that was about it.
I helped packup and then we had to go to Albert Park to pickup a van, before that happened Ian took me into the Mclaren Pits, introdued me to there IT Technician, Engineers, Computer men, Pit Crew, Radio guys and also gave me a complete tour of the facility ...I was blown away, I never expected this.

Ian & me at the front of Mclaren Pits
Well we still keep incontact, Ian has my email and mobile and I will be getting photos of his setups around the world as he moves from track to track during the 2005 F1 season
This topped any experiences I had last year, and it may get even better next year.
Oh ....I got given a Mclaren Hat, gloves and also a bottle of wine from there catering area :) ...I have a new found respect for Formula One Racing
And it did.....
Ive been involved with helping a technical member from the McClaren team setup a Ship Radar on the roof of our office and then setup the terminal, it was actually very interesting to watch it all
This thing even tracks aircraft, can see bulinings and even roads ....way cool
I should get to see it on Race day with the cars on the track ...something definitly to see :)

Then there is also the New Age group that I am getting numbers for, though its only early days at this stage.
Ive also been cleaning out may apartment, getting rid of half the stuff that I just dont need anymore and you would be supprised when you get very ruthless on how much crap that one does hord, alot of it has gone up on Ebay (kerridywn2002 if your interested)
