Well, I'm finally back to NAO after more than two months absence...
Meanwhile, lots of things happened in my life, of whom I shall tell the interested reader. ;)
First and most important story: I am now the godfather of a boy named Leon. This cute little guy was born on February 15th at 5:38am local time, and although he's just my godson, he changed my life a bit. Everyone who ever held a baby in his arms and got smiled at knows what I'm talking of. He literally twisted me around his (very) little finger...
And this little drooling fella is just too darn cute! :)
Coming along with the birth of Leon, I had the pleasure to host Sushi, a lively young cat lady...
To keep it short: It was everything but boring... ;)
Searching for oil...
Shadow boxing
You look fetching tonight! :)
My flat got a bit renovated... Got every window replaced by better isolated ones, and - in case of one window - by a new wall... :-/
Hmmm... What's more?
Aaaah! Got my tattoo finally finished... :D
Now, that's all folx. Be gone. :P
Need some snow?
These pictures were taken out of my window at 13:45 (1:45am) local time...
I'm really glad I don't have to go to work today... :)
Imagine a person close to you, maybe a family member or your loved one, gets shot by someone.
Would it matter if the killer is a friend or a total stranger, a compatriot or a foreigner?
And if this person was a soldier and wouldn't be held responsible and punished for his deeds, because it's war and some governement's got a good reason for it, would it make a difference to you?
To me it wouldn't.

Today i visited our local Migros to get me a decent pair of skiing gloves for the upcoming NAO-sledge-event.
I took the first pair out of the shelf, looked at the price tag and my jaw dropped. 150 Swiss Francs(~110 EUR/USD) for a pair of gloves!!! I turned them around to look for the built-in PDA. Nothing.
I double checked the other glove, but no, still no high-tech gadgets. Not even one lousy USB port.
To make a long story short: After spending some time rummagin' through the other vending stands, I finally found myself a nice fitting pair for only 12 bucks, whose main purpose was - judging from its design and insulating fillings - to keep my hands warm... I think they'll serve me well enough...

Two suns in the sunset
in my rear view mirror the sun is going down
sinking behind bridges in the road
and i think of all the good things
that we have left undone
and i suffer premonitions
confirm suspicions
of the holocaust to come
the rusty wire that holds the cork
that keeps the anger in
gives way
and suddenly it's day again
the sun is in the east
even though the day is done
two suns in the sunset
could be the human race is run
like the moment when your brakes lock
and you slide toward the big truck
and stretch the frozen moments with your fear
and you'll never hear their voices
and you'll never see their faces
you have no recourse to the law anymore
and as the windshield melts
my tears evaporate
leaving only charcoal to defend
finally i understand
the feelings of the few
ashes and diamonds
foe and friend
we were all equal in the end.
