I am trying to take the GMAT. I think I am ready to move from a "person who does the work" to "a person who manages" category. I've enjoyed being in the brasstacks, getting my hands dirty and getting stuff done. Yet, I would like a more centerstage position in the future. I do not simply want to be a blackbox anymore. What a do enjoy immensely is engaging real time with people on real life situations and problems. And solving problems for an organization is something that I do enjoy.
I've decided to wait for my GMAT results before I decide the universities I can apply to. My choices are extremely limited as I can only go to school part time, and cannot relocate at this point in time. I had promised myself that the next time I take up a job, it will be a company and a role that were more aligned with my talents. Let's see if I can make any progress in that direction.
However, it is really quite challenging to find time to study when one is working. In fact, I have trouble finding time for anything besides work. Last week I had started going to the gym, yet this week I had to work late for a couple of days and simply could not muster up the courage to transport myself to the gym. I went to sleep early last night and woke up at 4.45 a.m., maybe I can do this consistently and manage to create life outside work.
