Speakers

# 22913

My parents needed to move some speakers we weren't using from the gameroom so painting could begin, so I volunteered space in my room. These speakers are classics. I'm guessing circa 1970's really early 80's. The brand is ESS and they are stand speakers, 1 foot wide, 1 foot in depth, and about 4 feet tall.

I then had an Idea. I pull a preamp about the same age (Pioneer SX-828) out and hooked up the speakers. To give you an idea how old this was, the selector knob selections were Phono, Tape Deck 1 and 2, FM Radio, AM Radio, and Aux. I then ran a long cord with an audio jack from the computer towards the preamp. At the other end (this cable had 1 male and 1 female small type audio jack ports) I attached an audio -> rca converter. On top of that I attached an RCA Splitter/Converger and hooked it all up to the AUX port of the preamp. Now I have wonderful Winamp Sound emitting from these massively beutiful, yet old, speakers.

SAT Mishaps

# 22527

Appearantly, CollegeBoard hates me and decided that (1) It won't give me my SAT scores for the May 1st test and (2) It insists that I'm registered for the June test date, inwhich the only CollegeBoard test I am registered for in June is the ACT.

I seriously want to just kill something right now.

There's a reason why I love this comic. Especially the Helmeted Author quips (you must read the comic from the beginning to understand... it is very humorous).

This describes my feelings when people point out references that you make intentionally.

My First Slashdot

I had my first "slashdot" (found here) on slashdot.org. I noticed at around 12am Central Time (GMT -6) Google's interface change, so I submitted an article to slashdot. Sure enough, at 8am it made it to the front page, my first ever submission on slashdot. Not to mention, I put my deviantart art page as my contact (rather than my email) and my total views spiked from 459 at around 12am to 803 by 6pm. In effect, I slashdotted my DA gallery :D
