Nazgul Gauntlets

Well because I'm collecting swords and already have 4 (2 x Medieval and 2x a katana), I now started to look for armour pieces.

so I bought these cool Gauntlets:

Geile%20Gauntlets.bmp

The knives are usually in the gauntlets and you can let them snap out with a secret mechanism (ok I just bought them because they look cool and let you move your fingers)

But then I discovered these things: Nazgul Witchking Gauntlets

I have to say these things absolutly rule :) If I had the 705 I would definitly buy those, but I haven't. Anyone wants to donate? :)

Damn I want those things so bad....geee. *sniff*

[Edit] Btw. Anyone here has Steel leg Protection, Steel Gauntlets(With seperated fingers) od Titan Chainmail to sell? If so, mail me or post here. Or write me in ICQ 99047444

Well I discovered that the gauntlets I mentioned first (the ones with the extending blade) cost 400$, the 60$ written on the homepage are only for the little hand protection. What a crappy onlineshop, don't think I'll buy there anything.

I now bought these gauntlets at ebay Medieval Knights Articulated Gauntlets

Very cheap and they look like good quality.

Well the guy I buy them from is nice, you may visit his homepage MedievalArmour.com
He made me a special offer for a chainmail shirt together with the gauntlets, really cool :)

Well I'm starting to trust ebay again, after the Mobile-phone betrayal

And the money I got from ebay insurance is good to pay the gauntlets :)

Re: Nazgul Gauntlets

Earlier this year I attended a live role playing game together with Alekseji. Everyone was running around, fighting and sleeping in 140 pound full body plate armour. It was mad.

I'm afraid your gauntlets wouldn't pass the security check at such a game :)

As for picking daisies, just imagine that there are giant monster daisies :)

Ah yeah, is anyone here into medieval Weapons and Armour?

Can also be japanese ones (I got 2 katanas, still saving for a samurai armour)

makes me think how to handle that. two hands? one hand?
doesnt look easy. is it really battle-useable?

still saving for a samurai armour)

if you dont mind, you can use standard kendo/iaido outfit at first. "standard" means: a Hakama for the trousers, and a normal Karate-do 'shirt' for the rest.

A good breast-plate that is combat-stable, and is not fibre/carbon -made costs about 200 - 300 euro, they have to be manufactured fitting exactly to your body, and if you'd like to use the carbon variation, prices start at about 600 euro.

the breast-plates used in kendo are the same as Samurai ones, as Kendo IS part of the samurai combat styles (note: i call it "combat styles", NOT "martial arts", because i mean the samurai style, the real stuff used for battle, not the sport variations or, like my former master/kendo teacher called them: "out-of-the-easy-hand-sports" of so-called "martial arts").

Well It's a twohanded Flamberge, about 1.5 kg weight, 115 cm long, well it's very easy to handle because of it's weight. I got another Sword (unsharpened one) that is very heavy and hard to handle, but the flamberge is perfect for combat. Ok It's sharp as hell, I believe I can split atoms with it :) So for the combat you do today it wouldn't be good.

I know about Samurai Armour and Kendo/Iaido Clothing, but you know, I want a real Armour not just a Hakama, because the real thing just looks cooler.
