Life is good

I've decided this morning that life aint half bad.

I've got a great job, my own house, and a woman I love.

And having a house is a great achievement in my book, for a 20 year-old anyway.

This weekend was great. Saturday was my brother's 19th birthday, so Friday night he hired a function room in a bar and we all (that is to say, *I*) got absolutely hammered. Consequently, I spent most of Saturday sitting down, in an attempt to forget how to stand up. This is largely due to the fact that thinking about standing up made me feel as sick as a dog, and I figured that if I forgot how to do it, I wouldn't think about doing it so much.

And what makes me really sick is that my dad woke up fine, and he'd had more than me! He was awake at 7am cooking sausage sandwhiches!!

Sunday morning at the market (read: car boot sale) was very good. I managed to only spend 20 quid, which I normally double. I got hold of an OnDigital (Digital TV company who were bought out by ITV (hey monkey!) and consequently went bust) Digital Reciever, which I've tested at my parents' house and picks up the free-to-view channels very nicely. However, I'm going to have to put a parental lock on the QVC channel and not tell my fiancee the code, otherwise that house I own will soon belong to mr bank manager. Anyway, at £12, this was a damned sight cheaper than buying one for £80 from the BBC. And I get the same channels.

Other things I purchased were:

Dreamweaver MX (Education Version) £3 (bargain!!!!)
An AD&D Expansion box set, called Bleak something. The name escapes me currently - £2
Jacket potato with cheese and curry - £2 (hungry!!!!)

Last night (Sunday) Myself, my fiancee, my brother, his girlfriend and my parents went out to a meal at Chung's restaurant, the most fantastic chinese food in the whole of nottingham (that I have tasted)

mmmmmm ribs.

All in all, a good weekend
