Earlier this year I stumbled across earth amp, a beautiful skin for Winamp. I liked it so much that I contacted its author Christian Grass and asked him if he could do a version of earth amp that uses Netalive.org's header photo for its background.

He agreed, and this weekend he finished his work on it. Now look at this beauty!

What version of Winamp is the netalive skin for? It doesn't work with version 3, well at least not on my computer it doesn't.

It would also work with the new Winamp5 beta.

Winamp5 has all the cool features of 3, but it's got all the good parts of 2 as well. 2 + 3 = 5. It supports skins from 2 and 3 and doesn't hog resources like 3 does. Check it out.

Now that's something at last. Whenever I opened Winamp 3 on my old PC, it grinded to a halt. Then I spent every penny I owned on a new machine, and Winamp 3 still behaved like a fat cow. That did it for me. I returned to Winamp 2 and never looked back.

Oh now thats nice. I installed Winamp 5. I like its default skin. I never noticed any lag with Winamp 3. I'll take your word for it though. However this laptop is a 3.06 Ghz so there isn't much lag with anything really. Haha ... =)

The skin does look beautifal, however it's a Winamp 2 skin and I can't use it. :-(

Think there'd be anyway you could get someone to do a Winamp 3 version?

I don't think it's even been officially announced. You won't find anything about it at Nullsoft or even Winamp, so don't feel any shame. ;) I didn't know about it either, until someone told me.

Winamp 5 is nice. Isn't it a beta or alpha? Seems to be rock solid from me so far. I like its default skin better than winamp 3 and earlier.
