Reading Rating Complaints

Okay, so...
I was reluctant to post poetry on this site because I was afraid that I would get no response or a negative one. I don't suppose the response was all that negative, but one of my poems got a terribly low rating. It's understandable that some people just don't like poetry, but I have seen a lot of good poetry get really bad ratings or none at all. To all you low-raters out there, be a little mature and at least appreciate the effort if you can't appreciate the content.

For my next trick, I shall make you all disappear.

Hey sotic, i cant speak for others, but i geunuinely enjoy reading your poetry. And i dont see where you got the low rating...Are you talking abiut the 64% for your latest poem. That's not a bad rating. It means that out of the three people probably two rated it nice, and one rated it excellent.

Don't stop poetry or anything like that! We realy enjoy reading it. And chin up about the rating, it's really not bad!

Yeah, you're right. I over-reacted a bit...hehe...my apologies; but this post wasn't only in reference to me. I've seen a lot of other good poetry just brushed aside, and it makes me sad that it can't be appreciated.

I rated it as nice because my finger slipped. I meant to rate it as excellent but you can't change a rating once it's made. Sorry...

Don't even worry about it. When i post poetry i do it to vent i can care less if someone decideds to be an ass and give it bad rating. I also dont care if no one rates it at all. Of course whenever you get a good rating it does make you feel good and like your stuff is actuakly worth-whie.but i post my poetry for me, not them. Just dont let it get to you and you'll be just peachy.

humph. 64% is a terrible rating if you ask me. a 64% in school is failing. i miss the good old days when 70% was not a very good rating. (which explains the puke green color in which it is displayed)

70% has never been a 'not very good' rating. Everything above 50% is better than nothing. That's the way this site works.
