Reading Macintosh

Hello to all esteemed Old Mac Lovers -

I would greatly appreciate some help on getting my hard drive unlocked on my old Mac IIci. I have tried the File; then Get Info routine but have been unsucessfull. I cannot see the little unlock or locked check box at the bottom of the Get Info screen - pleeezzzeee help me - :^)
