Well, can you? And what happens to the feeling when you wake up?
Personally, I've been having a mildly surreal week. I'll probably give the reason once I manage to edit out the names of the guilty parties.
On an unrelated note, it's really hard to find aliases for people you associate strongly with particular names.
Did you ever see Brazil - where the protagonist dreams in metaphors, documenting his struggle against the totalitarian presence and his doomed quest for love. I got a bit of that feeling.
you can come to terms and realize, you're the only one who cannot forgive yourself -Pearl Jam
Well, can you?
I honestly doubt that it is possible.
Love, as you know, is an emotional bond between two people. While it may be possible to enounter a person you love while dreaming, there is not sufficient time within a single dream to form such a bond. The romantic "Love at first bite" style of love is possible, but it's more of an instant infatuation of an imaginary character.
The only way such a bond can form is if the character in question reappears from dream to dream - and given the dreams are usually randomly composed from existing events, it's highly unlikely that you will encounter that character once again (let alone work to develop a bond.)
And what happens to the feeling when you wake up?
Usually, once you realise that you had a dream, the feelings (and content) tends to fade very rapidly. The only way to know how you feel in a dream (and when you wake up out of one) is write down what you know on some pen and paper.
We were just discussing this today in science. Not if you can fall in love with a dream, but If you can remember dreams when you wake up. The teacher said something would have to wake you while you were still having the dream to remember it. There was this experiment done where people set their alarms for midnight, wake up, and write down what they dreamt about. Then they woke up in the morning and couldn't remember dreaming about what was on the paper!
I think that dreams can mean things, like if you're angry you might see red in your dream, but i don't think they can tell the future. If that makes sense.
Sorry if I got a little off-subject. =/
...and that was the last you heard of her.
