I feel like things are mindlessly redundant and only getting moreso everyday.
If only there was some way I could stir something up world wide.
That would entertain me quite well. I am sure Mr. Torvalds is having a grand time.

Have you ever seen the movie Fight Club? Aside from being utterly fantastic, it could give you an idea of something to do ;D

And what in the order of inspirational global reformation concepts does it offer?

I told you, it's a movie, and a really good one at that.

well, I don't want to give it all away, but among others:

"you are not what you own."

"You must accept the fact that YOU ARE GOING TO DIE, and there is nothing you can do about it."

Fine. You asked for it. You're bored, you want something to do?

Start a syndicate, a la Milo Minderbinder in Catch 22. The basic idea is, you create a vast economy where by you are the head of a syndicate in which goods bought at a high price can be sold at a lower price at a profit, because all parties are part of the syndicate. Everyone is in on it, everyone has a share, so what's good for the syndicate is good for you.

Just don't steal MY plan before I've ruled it out for myself: send as many copies as you can to as many places as possible and in as many languages as possible of a letter advocating the self extermination of the human race, on the grounds that the second coming is the coming of all that is hateful and that we must surrender ourselves to judgement in order to be saved for eternity. As a backup for all the more logical minds, argue that we should destroy ourselves before we destroy this planet, because the natural diversity and harmony of life that occured here is far more precious than one destructive species. Then take out as many people as you can on your way down.

Or at the very least, start asking people why a huge portion of the cost of their food is the cost of having that food transported from a 1,000 miles away where it was grown by a complete stranger... if they can answer that, without using the phrase "for the good of our economy", they are welcome to try.
