Has anyone esle here been following/watching the UEFA(?) EURO 2004 football tournament? (I know, most N. Americans call it soccer, but I prefer football... it makes more sense)
I don't normally watch football (except Canadian football, that's different), but I watched some of this tournament and it was good stuff... actually I probably saw the best three minutes of the whole thing when I saw France score two goals in extra time to beat England 2-1. Then later I saw the spectacular tying score by... I think it was Van Nistelroy... anyway, some Dutch player scored near the end of a game against Germany... that looked to my untrained eye like an excellent game.
But I can't find no place or nothin', where thrills are cheap, and love is divine

and then they call a game that has NOTHING TO DO with feet 'football' .. of course, the rest of the world does call football football because you use your damned FEET to play the ball and not just for doing sometimes a nice starting kick.
And of course the US aint infected by the football virus, so they apparently aint able to understand the other 5,8 billion people (aka the rest of the world).

Multiple exclamation marks are a sure sign for a diseased mind!
It's kind of like a Hamburger, which of course has no ham in it.
C'mon... I said I enjoyed seeing Holland come back late to tie that game against Germany. No reaction? Where is the patriotism? ;)
Although I must say, Kahn is just about the coolest goalie ever...

You don't read the rainbow press, do you? ;?
Um... no. But I searched it on Google and it looks interesting.
I also learned something... when searching for Rainbow Press on google, make sure you don't accidently search Rainbow News instead... you will get very different results. :p
(Very disconcerting!)

Caught Germany vs. Czech Republic while in Prague (hard to cheer for Deutschland here) and England vs. Portugal. I didn't like the former, but the latter was an outstanding game. While at my french professor's chateau (homestay-type-thingman) I saw France vs. England, and that was quite a great night indeed.
