Ignore the voices in your head and look out to the sea.
It sparkles in the moonlight and jumps up at the walls of rock surrounding it.
Keeping it caged.
Caged like animals in the zoo.
Helpless. Trapped.
But the sea.
The sea is not helpless.
The sea is not trapped.
The sea is strong and powerful
Filling large crevices of the world.
The sea takes over.
Like you take over.
You take over my life.
My world.
My identity.
Stealing me.
Claiming me for your own.
You hold me tight.
You don't let go.
I struggle.
Still you don't let go.
I scream.
Still you don't let go.
I lash out with anger.
Fear.
You shrink back and slowly disappear.
Gone.
"I'm free to say whatever I, whatever I like if it's wrong or right, it's alright."
Very well done poem - sounds like as if it came right out of some Fear Factory or Hypocrisy album ;)
cu, w0lf.
ps: note for the stubborn folk: no, I dont say it's a copy, I say it sounds very much like some good ole IDM or pure breed Death Metal song - just the music is missing!
Multiple exclamation marks are a sure sign for a diseased mind!
