Reading Macintosh

I fell in love with the new pink i-pod mini. It's so sweet, so small and so practicable.
Does anybody know if there are things to consider before to buy it. I'm really about to click "buy" in the online-store.
I know I'll need i-tunes to make it work. Can I download it free on the net for my Windows 2000 PC? Will it work on my notebook? Is it easy to handle (for a girl!)?

No, you don't need iTunes to use your iPod. (But yes, you can freely download it.)
Yes, as your Vaio is equipped with both USB and FireWire, you should have no connection problems.
Yes, it is easy to handle. It's Apple. :-)
