A recent phenomenon I've observed:
It seems, the nastier you are to someone, the more likely it is that they'll revere you. This seems to be particularly the case on the internet, where the only contact is written.
For example, I have recently had the misfortune to encounter several online morons. And, though I'm a bit ashamed to admit it, because it's never nice to pick on mental midgets, I finally got fed up and gave these intellectual bruisers a considerable piece of my mind.
But to my horror, I didn't get snarkiness in return; instead, the responses were obsequious and apologetic. Which was gratifying for about two seconds, but...
I don't generally consider myself to be a very mean person, though I will get nasty when my buttons are pushed. But these people had been so asinine that my buttons were nearly inverted; yes, I did bite their heads off.
I just didn't expect my rudeness to be met with reverence. What's so chic about angry?

Do the words 'Brutally Seductive' mean anything to you? Intelligence is sexy and appealing. When one recognizes one's intellectual superior, one gets all hot and bothered.
Yeah. Maybe they were just trying to catch your attention. Seems to have worked. ;)
Something witty and evocative with just the right amount of self-deprecating humor.
