Just a suggestion. Can we have a classifieds forum in which only people who have say >3 red stars can post anything, to avoid any spamming of it? I am sure people on NAO can probably benefit out of it in case they are interested in something another NAOii is willing to sell/trade-in. I know the distances are pretty big, people here are from different continents, but I am sure it will be a nice addition to NAO.

Does anyone have any objections/endorsements for such a forum?

I would like to hear other opinions on this. I'd especially be interested in which sort of items you could imagine yourself trading over large distances.

PayPal being so easy, it's probably better to have people exchange payment details on their own, rather than having some all-integrated blob that just gets in the way.

Of course there'll be an option to deposit your credit card number and online banking password on our *cough* ...Secure... Server, where nobody but the ...Trustworthy... Server admin has access to it...

Well few things I could think of are:-

music cd's, dvds, tapes
games
books
small handicraft/other decorative items
anything that's archaic and you would like to get rid of

And, once NAO has a lot of people concentrated in one area/region that section can also be used for selling off bigger items like desktops, laptops, small furniture, etc.

My 8 1/2 years have been totally voluntary. I'll be out in March.

It would be a good idea, sell stuff, offer jobs and fish for help on projects (aka the jobs don't have to include $$$).

and sort of unrelated... i had a thought, we should all do an iconic-item-swap. involving sending an item that can only be found in your country (easily) and sending it to another NAOee.
