Jaz,
Did you create all the icons on this site on your own? Or, did you get/buy them from some other site? I am looking for some freeware/shareware icons for few of the websites that I am working on right now, and I was wondering where did you get the icons from.
I am not that good in using the icon creating/editing tools, and I am finding really hard to get some free icons that are also good in quality. If I do land on a site that has some good icons, they are only good in 32x32 format. The moment I change them to 16x16 or even 20x20, they become quite bad.
Any suggestions/pointers on where can I get icons like NAO has, that are simple, and of amazing quality?

I drew all icons myself.
SimpleBits sells two small collections of very nice icons. Also the Eclipse IDE has a pretty amazing set of icons, although I don't know about licensing.

Thanks a lot Jaz. The Eclipse icons are really good. I have recently started using Eclipse and I did notice it's icons, but never realized that since it's open source, I can probably use it's icons for anything that I do non-commercially (I guess).
BTW, which software do you use to create your own icons? I have recently started using Gimp for all my image manipulation needs, but I haven't yet got a hold of many things. I used to use Fireworks earlier, and I found it pretty good, and I kind of miss it now. Fireworks that I used was a licensed copy supplied by my previous company, now that I have left it, I had to uninstall it, and hence I am tied to the software that are free to use.
Would it be possible to write-up a few tutorials for people like us who are interested in learning a few tricks? (Whenever you get time, that is!)

An ages old copy of Paint Shop Pro. I mean, it's a 16×16 patch of pixels, so having Über-tools is not going to help you anyway. You might as well use Windows Paint.

I'm afraid I just sit down and draw icons. If you already have a picture of your icon in your head, I don't find it hard to translate it into pixels because there aren't many ways to fit a shape into that limited space.
