Reading andromacha's journal

Lately, I am wondering why people keep picking the same avatar that I have. And not the people who write good, well written posts like many of the Naoies. No, the ones who write just crap that is always rated down in the reds.

Earlier, I found this nice picture of a sort of an elven girl, and I uploaded it from my machine, just to realize a few days later that another person had the same image I had picked. And once again, it was one of the spammers basically, or anyway someone who always writes mediocre posts.

Now, I decide to change the avatar, and I just noticed that once again I have been copied by someone who, casually, is normally a mediocre writer.
I don't consider myself such a great wonderful writer, or I don't have the presumption to think that my posts are just wonderful pieces of art and everything, but... geez... leave my avatar alone!

I don't want to be associated with the ones who are lately abusing Nao, and posting every single crap that comes through their mind, or, as null nicely put it, the little kiddie-puberty idiocies that we are seeing way too often on the site lately.

I know, this is probably a silly post, and you can rate me as a consequence if you want... I am just rambling and ranting most of all, but it's just that i have observed this strange phenomenon lately of this loss of identity or, better said, of loss of avatar.

Why don't you just pick your former avatar? You were the only one. Or just pick a photo. I am sure noone will copy a photo ;)

I actually sent a few avatars to Jaz (your current one included) some time ago because of the lack of diversity in the female avatar department... but then again, I haven't helped much. Anime females? Nothing new. Why not make your own? That's what I always do. It's a lot more fun than just picking one.

Yeah...It is alot of fun. Every six months or so I go on a pseudo-creative photoshop binge and make a new set of avatars/lj backgrounds/etc and update my online image...
