Ettena: Proof of life

Some of you have been wondering about Ettena. As proof that she is still alive I'm sending you a picture she has drawn (picture is linked to larger image).

You really ought to see some of the things she did with pencil or tusche.

Eh?

Sorry, but thumbnail nor the larger image showed up. Apparently, I lack authorization to see it...

I should be ashamed of myself.

Strange... I could see it just fine, both of them. And we have the same ratings... I still see it in fact.

Well regardless of all the asides, I think that it's quite a beautiful picture that she's created here. Does she take art classes or attend an art school?

I agree! It is indeed pertty good. Also, since we haven't heard from her in ages, how is she doing? And, where is she nowadays?

I'm glad that among all the meta-noise in this thread, someone took notice :)

Her course of studies is about teaching people how to perceive and perform art. I don't think it has a direct equivalent in English ("Art pedagogy").

That's really cool. It's hard for people to get involved in teaching art in America, because it's a financial nightmare (art teachers don't receive reimbursements for supplies they give to students, and I don't think they even get tax breaks for the stuff). I hope it works out for her! (My attitude isn't hampered by my sister's attendance at the Memphis College of Art, of course)

Re: Ettena: Proof of life

It's not easy to teach art over here either, although more for reasons of formality. To teach at public schools you mostly need to train at academies with very restrict and questionable ideas about who should be eligible for their training.
