null *** (12) wants to know...
Alright, which of your boys and girls plan to attend one or more open air festivals this summer?
Orchid and I will most likely be present at three of them - Southside (Germany), our lovely Open Air St. Gallen (Switzerland) and the Gurtenfestival. Thanks to Orchid chances are good that we get Press passes for at least 2 of them!
St. Gallen and Bern might be a bit far for most of you, but if any of you are going to be present at the Southside thing, what about a short meeting or something?

This weekend I'm at the Rock im Park festival and I think I'll attend the Forest Glade as well.
If you tell the truth you don't have to remember anything. -- Mark Twain
Argh, I'm so damn stupid! I forgot Rock im Park. I remarked it yesterday when a guy in class mentioned ot. Great, had I thought, so we possibly would have been there, too. I always wanted to see BUSH and Neil Young live. Now I'll miss them both again.
OK, three Open Airs is enough for a summer, I think, so we'll enjoy them, too (or at least I hope so :-)
I hope null isn't to unhappy about me missing Rock im Park. Anyway, isn't Nürnberg a bit to far away? Probably not but... maybe next year ;-)
Anyway, why didn't you ask me to go. I absolutely didn't know the first thing about your great wish to go there... *alittlebitsad*
Or did you? Well, maybe it's Alzheimer :-/

Come on, have you seen that line-up? It just r001z!
Yeah, Bush would've been cool.
Okay I've seen them twice already. :-) What really hurts is POD, Bad Religion, Santana, Lenny Kravitz, BRMC, H-Blockx, ... heeey, are there any tickets left??
Actually I think I did mention it to you. Must be Alzheimer or something. :-) But we still could go there on Saturday. Will you be the driver?
One question tho... when the whole thing is split up into several separated(?) areas, doesn't this mildly suck? And are there seats?
"*sigh* Some men are really hard to manipulate!" - Orchid
well, there are seats in fact, but I cannot recommend them at all; the first time I went there 3 years ago we didn't know it better and had to watch Skunk Anansie, Metallica, Manic Street Preachers etc. from a place about 200 meters away, which made us think we were just watching TV, especially since the atmosphere on the seats was dominated by bored elderly people. So we left the main area, the so-called center stage inside the stadion and entered the other areas- back then they used to be tents without seats and we were really impressed - it was so cool! We came to stand in the first row quite easily even! :)
The following years we came back of course but with arena tickets.. since last year the former tents have become buildings, and they've also become harder to enter :(
So if you go there and make it to get arena tickets, I'd think that you are better off: You can get very close to the bands at the main area as well as in the other areas. And if you happen to be tired you can always sit on the floor. (You shouldn't mind the dirt, because dirt will become your best friend there :) Also worth a look is the lake when the festival is over :D )
(Sorry didn't want to scare you, R.I.P. rocks!!!)
Have fun and special greetings to MUSE if you should really go there! (Damn, why am I not going.... )

You should see the lawn in St. Gallen after three days of rain & beer! Some people even bathe in that mud. /me shakes
Anyways, thanks for the ticket info! :-)
Did you enjoy Metallica? We've seen them in '99 and I must say it was a bit disappointing. Went on stage, played some songs, said "goodbye", and gone they were. Can't say they cared much for the audience (i.e. their fans) or didn't even care about the (non-existant) atmosphere... no hard work for 250 grands.
I'm afraid I don't think we'll see Muse. :-( You may however pick another band if you like. :-)
"*sigh* Some men are really hard to manipulate!" - Orchid
I haven't seen St.Gallen in the mud and I'm lucky, the lawn changed from green to brown in three days without rain. Looked terrible :-)
Anyway the atmosphere in St. Gallen is best and I experienced the until now maybe greatest thing in my life so it's a, err, historic event :-)

Yeah, RIP ROCKS!!!
We'll camp at the private campsite right behind the Frankenstadium (we discoverd it 2 years ago but it was still under construction then). Last year it was FREEEEEEEZING COOOOOLD but luckily they had a cafeteria and hot showers ;-)
Anyway this is my 4th time at Nürnberg and i ABSOLUTELY LOVE it there.
We're in a group ~10 with party tents and tables and grill and everything for a BIG 3-day-party
If you're there this year as well and you'd like to meet just give me a call or send an SMS to +43-676-4129680 or +43-699-19131142. I'll catch my train to Munic at 15:45 as I spend the night at a friend's place so I won't be able to check NAO again.

Too late now... it would have been possible tough. Sorry I didn't answer, was already off....
AND IT WAS FU"§$ GREAT!!! Especially Ozzy Osbourne (they had a DAMN GREAT guitarist, check out this image) and Bush and Santana and P.O.D. and Wycliff Jean and....
If you tell the truth you don't have to remember anything. -- Mark Twain
Well, we wouldn't have had the time anyway. :-(
Anyways it's not as bad as it could be. I've seen Ozzy some years ago (I think it was in 99)... altho the audience was not too good (too young?). Still it was great. Ozzy rocks (the old people's home)!
As for the rest - see you 'round Neuhausen! :-)
"*sigh* Some men are really hard to manipulate!" - Orchid
I'm afraid I never had the opportunity to see Ozzy.
He is having the "Ozzfest" here in Zürich where I could have gone but null has already seen him so... I don't know his music very well anyway but some hours ago I used our Network to collect some music and video files. Now my notebook isn't able to collect more and I had to stop my search :-(

Yes, I'm probably attending the Southside with some friends.
Did you know it used to be in Neubiberg two years ago, which is really NEXT DOOR to me, I mean, THE SOUTHSIDE FESTIVAL USED TO BE WHERE I LIVE!!! but of course, due to some radical interfering of Marylin Manson and my former maths-teacher and vice-mayor Mr. Mehren (and some other reasons I think)they had to move it to a different hole, namely Neuhausen-ob-Eck, which is about 4 hours by car from Munich :(
Anyway, we went there last year, and the atmosphere was just GREAT!

Some mates of me went there last year and told me how much they enjoyed it.
I think the program was better then, too. But I think the atmosphere is so great that the line-up doesn't matter. And, I mean, hey, RHCP! :-D
I knew it was in Munich two years ago. But I'm quite contented with Neuhausen, so it's nearer for us :-)

Is it from warm machine, too?
And here is my obvious lines:
I'm a creep... I'm a weirdo... ...and you're so f*ing special :-)
Isn't this so true? *dreaming*

Is a word made up especially for a song in "Mary Poppins" movie by Disney.Performed by: Mary Poppins (Julie Andrews)
Written by: Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman
Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay
Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Even though the sound of it
Is something quite atrocious
If you say it loud enough
You'll always sound precocious
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay
Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay
Because I was afraid to speak
When I was just a lad
My father gave me nose a tweak
And told me I was bad
But then one day I learned a word
That saved me aching nose
The biggest word I ever heard
And this is how it goes:
Oh, supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Even though the sound of it
Is something quite atrocious
If you say it loud enough
You'll always sound precocious
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay
Um diddle diddle diddle um diddle ay
So when the cat has got your tongue
There's no need for dismay
Just summon up this word
And then you've got a lot to say
But better use it carefully
Or it may change your life
One night I said it to me girl
And now me girl's my wife!
She's supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

That reminds me of a story that is not at all on-topic.
Remember Gandhi? The guy that resisted peacefully? The one who fasted days on end to make a point? He was pretty cool.
At any rate, apparently he went around barefoot a great deal of the time, making his feet quite calloused. He did this until the day he died.
He also fasted quite a bit, as I had mentioned earlier. This gave him really severe bad breath while he was making his more salient points.
Some even said he was a super calloused fragile mystic plagued with halitosis.

I'm glad someone else thought it was amusing. I got really cracked up over it and also giggled like mad when I first heard it (no, sorry, I can't take credit for it).
But, I'm one of those people that everyone loves to roll their eyes at. I find things funny that most don't. Puns are one of my favorite forms of humor.
