Looks like Frank's been hit by the bad rater again. What is going on? There was nothing in that post that merited a poor rating.

Does someone need to be shaken until his teeth fall out? Really, now. If you don't care about a post, leave it alone. If you disagree, hit reply. If you agree, hit reply.

Either way, save the poor ratings for people who are abusive of the privilege that it is to post to this list.

Re: Red Hat Linux 7.3

Wasn't it just a = rating?

Give a neutral vote...
for posts that are good reading, but nothing too special.

Looks okay to me.

Re: Red Hat Linux 7.3

Easy: Average of 100% (green) and 60% (yellow) = some value inbetween 60% and 100%. :-)

(100+60)/2 would result in an 80% rating. Now consider that different ratings from different people have a different weight, and you get the final result.

Re: Red Hat Linux 7.3

According to Jaz (and if I get this right), a = still increases your ranking - just not as fast as a + would. IIRC this is the main reason why posts of newbies should be rated - they need to be ranked up to get higher post limits and stuff.

So don't worry about a yellow one then and now. :-)

Hmmm...I wonder how Jaz would feel about you letting out his voodoo secret which he had been hiding from all of us for so long!

(Or, maybe everyone else already knew about this - except me!)
