Reading Hardware

Aynjell *** posts about...

Sound card.

Okay guys, I'm a picky guy and I really like integration. Which is for the most part, why I LOVE my onboard sound. Sadly, they haven't written very good linux drivers for it. It can only do one stream of audio at a time. ( :( )

Anyway, my question is this:

Can any of you point me towards a sound card that supports the two audio ports that come standard on most cases (mic in and headphones) up at the front, while being a PCI chip, and providing hardware rendered sound. Okay, linux compatibility is required as well. Sadly, I can't find one...

I don't see why either. I can't imagine vendors leaving such a small feature out. I mean, most mobo's got it...

I should be ashamed of myself.
