Happy st. Patty's day

Today is the day for Irish luck. Well I haven't found my 3 leaf clover yet. It's 4 leaf in American but in Ireland they have 3 leaf clovers that are good luck.

Come to think of it I'm not wearing anything green. I'll run to the store and buy some green finger nail polish.

So today any bad luck that might have happend to me is postponed until tomorrow which is fine by me.

Take your time don't live to fast troubles will come and they will pass

"Sinnne Fianna Fáil atá fé gheall ag Éirinn," so goes the national anthem of Ireland ("Soldiers are we, whose lives are pledged to Ireland"). It's a tragedy that only days before so many turn their eyes to Ireland, a young catholic man was killed during an altercation in a pub by men who are known members of the IRA. The man's family have come to America to beg President Bush to demand the disestablishment of the Irish Republican Army, an entity who allegedly is fighting for the rights of the aforementioned Belfast family. It's not a great time right now for Irish Republicanism, and it hurts me to know that a family must now grieve the loss of this man on the feast day of their nation's patron Saint. Matters haven't been made much better by the family's unwillingness to listen to Martin McGuinness's pleas to be cafeful in how they deal with the attention they've drawn to themselves, or the White House's dis-invitation of Gerry Adams (a member of the pro-Republic party Sinn Fein and an MP in Britain's House of Commons) to their annual celebration of the holiday. Seems like a lot of people could use some more luck right now, and I can't imagine a four-leaf-clover big enough to fit the bill.
