Yeah, im defiantly down with the happy boss, people smiling and the sunny days things.

I'd like to add one for the men ( at least i think im not alone here )

1) Nothing quite beats that first pee in the morning, you know the one, when your standing there all zonked, with one of your arms up against the wall to steady yourself, lines still imprinted on your face from the pillow, eyes still half glued shut...thats the best feeling in the world.

2) Winning at chess, or anything else for that matter (especially if you previously been losing)

3) Beating a bad habit and being able to look back at it.

4) Laughing so hard until you almost cry and your sides hurt so much you can hardly breath, then thinking how you havent laughed like that in ages.

5) Discovering good new music

6) Meeting someone new and getting lost in conversation

Thats my few...

I agree. But I take mine sitting down. Granted, if I am at a single man's house, or the house of a man I love... I'll put the seat back up if it was up when I came into the bathroom. I figure I am short, closer to the toilet, and it is much easier for me to adjust than the seat than the average man who is taller than me...

though, I must admit, that when I come in to find it down, it makes me smile really, really wide! And then I put it up... again.

Not that that means anything... I just wanted to say it. Cause I felt like it. And I figure: "toilets need love too..." to quote an old boss.

P.S. There is definitely a story behind that one. Ha! *grins*

Re: The story of the toilet bowl...

Um. Back in 1997, one of my managers went into the men's room and found that a toilet seat had been ripped from one of the toilets, and jammed into it at an angle. He had a 'devil' of a time getting it back out of the toilet.

After that ordeal was over, he went up to the DJ booth, grabbed the mike and said: "Man, you people never cease to amaze me. You just come in here, trash the place, do whatever you feel like, and you mangle my toilets. That's not nice. You know, toilets need love too!"

With that he went back to the office, and towards the end of the night, while he was standing near the front door... several guys stopped to offer their condolences on the damaged toilet as they left the club. One guy actually said, with genuine feeling: "I am so sorry about your toilet, man." It was like a fucking funeral for the toilet.

You know, for a second there, I felt really, really bad for the toilet... almost as if it had gotten anthropomorphized. Very surreal experience involving toilets.

But along the lines of your 'idea', they actually, now that I think of it, look kinda like a shivalingam in a way... what with the ring and the column... albeit placed upside down.

Hell, that could be the whole problem with the world today. Toilets.

Yeah, dude. Toilets have destroyed the world.

Heh. Only kidding. Just kidding! ;P

Really, wow, odd as it is i was having one of those jokey conversation with my cousin just two nights ago involving women and toilets, it was a come home late night still buzzin from a gig and chat cod shite for hours night.

We were discussin why it is seen as common courtesy for men to put the seat down after using the toilet and why women dont leave it up for us, but youve just proved us wrong :-)

Maybe ill install a urinal?

P.S I had no idea what the word shivalingham meant so i did a quick yahoo search, and i make you right.

What an exceptionally compassionate way to wish death on your worst enemy...this is perfect. I think I shall borrow this favorite thing and wish that my worst enemies die of too much laughter. Who's to say when it shall happen? Tomorrow? At the end of a long and happy life? But actually, the visuals on that appeal to not only my sense of revenge, but my sense of forgiveness. It hurts when you are laughing that hard, but it hurts so good...Works all the way around. Thanks for the idea!

And, I have never been to an oxygen bar. If it is anything like the gulps of air you take in when practicing kapalabhati/skull-cleansing breath in Yogic Pranayama practice... then I expect it must be quite wonderful. I also suspect that it shall be at least a couple of years before an oxygen bar appears in St. Louis. Meh. Slow as moses things are here, in coming... I mean.

Well actually, I used to do yoga on a very regular basis. Unfortunately, I don't have so much time anymore. It is very similar, only... better. I can't say there is another word for it. It's just better.

No, I can't cook to save my own life. When I said I loved food, I love to eat food. And whenever I do cook and it turns out satisfactory, (or at least edible) I get the most emjoyment out of destroying my creation by devouring it. *shrug* What can I say? I'm a Glutton.

And another thing. I have a new favorite thing. Stoic_slaughter's shower. Oh my goodness, she has the best water pressure I've ever experienced. *grins*

13. Hands...in general.

You know, I was thinking the other day, that hands are so underappreciated. :-) We take them for granted.

One of my favorite scenes from a movie, was during Laura Esquivel's Like Water for Chocolate, when Tita is in the asylum still, but just beginning to 'relight the matches' of her soul. She waves her hands around in the air, looking at the patterns of light on the floor that they create as she moves them. Looking at them as if they are foreign objects, because now she can use them any way that she wants. Not just how Mama Elena wants her to use them.

In fact, I love my hands so much, I think I shall go and put lotion on them right now. I hardly ever do that. I should. My hands like it.

1. Sitting on the edge of a sandy river watching the sun go down, freezing your ass off cause you thought it would be cool, then finding out you're cooler than you thought after buying cheap $2.00 glowsticks at a gas station, and raving horribly to the music your friends from wisconsin make. ("jesus loves the little children" and "come on kids" by tegan and sara, as well as "stairway to heaven" backwards because you memorized it.)

2. Blasing sitar music on your computer for all to hear, super early in the morning, as you sit on your back stoop smilng, because we all need a little change.

3. Making it to third base, and sweeping it off for the next person.

4. Getting caught in a huge storm as you are filming your parody of gilligans' island. (which turns out to be 3 hours of hilarious commentary, and bloopers, because we left the script at home.)

5. Sitting in an airport, talking to a nun for hours on end.

6. Skateboarding off your roof, and not getting hurt.

7. Getting home after filming your parody of Gilligans' Island, and sitting on your roof, listening to your neighbor blast raggae over the thunder.

8. Knowing the words to said reggae.

9. Throwing day-old doughnuts off a bridge with your best friend, and then writing a haiku of it.

(Rain this afternoon.
two dollars and fourty cents.
doughnuts off a bridge.)

10. People who make lists of good things, and mean it, basing the list on personal expiriances.

11. Finding your glowsticks still glowing two days later, and proclaiming that they are gifts from the gods in public, a bit too loudly.

12. Gummi bears real cheap.
13. laying in a hottub, and watching fireworks at the same time, your ears submerged, so you only hear muffled cracking noises.

14. Those buttermint things.

15. Sitting at starbucks and coming across the most obediant, most free spirited shaggy dog you've ever seen, then playing fetch for hours in the hail and pouring rain.(i live in seattle.. it rains a lot XD) getting soaked and stared at, but smiling because its the best feeling in the world.

16. Late nights on the phone, with the man/woman of your dreams, and having every call form him last at least 3 hours.

17. Finally being able to relax.

18. Watching someone fall in love.

19. Being mesmerized by kid shows, like sesamie street, or tellitubbies. (come on, you know you've done it.)

20. Photography that takes your breath away.

I love this idea. and I have more.
