Reading Alexis's journal

Well, for the first part of the subject, i've been a little bummed out since mid-way through June. i'm dissapointed because i had this great opportunity to go to California and attend lectures, and classes, at Stanford University. i didn't get in but the program that would let me stay at Stanford for the 5-week program, has a sub-program that helps me find the scholarships that are best for me. so maybe it was a blessing in disguise. Yet even with this let-down, i'm so totally excited. I'm going to be a senoir in high school in the fall, and i've started to apply for college. What gets me so happy about that is not only will i finally be out of my school (i don't really like the people there), but the first college application i recieved was from Harvard University! They sent me a letter, than they sent me the application. i'm soo happy, because i've always been told that i have to go to college, i've always liked school, and i've wanted to go to an IV League school since i was in the third grade. (no joke, i'm a bit of a nerd. ok, i'm a total nerd) ;) anyway, i just had to get it out since i don't normally see any of my friends in the summer, and it isn't something that normally comes up in e-mails. thanks for listening.
