There are three baby kitties asleep on the bed right now.
There is Little Annie, the runt who has the guts and courage of a lion. She is so named for Annie Okaklee, a gustys young woman who was with Wild Bill Hicocks wild west show.
There is The Letter M, that's her name, a very fluffy grey little girl who is content to be as close as she can to the person holding her while she purrs with all her heart.
And then there is the other little girl, we haven't found her name yet. She is black with silver on her feet, and seems happy just to be in a safe place.
They are all so quiet. Except when the meow now and then. When they see us they meow very excitedly and wobble and occasionally tumble over their own feet as they make their way to say hello.
Now and again they squeek too. I wish we had baby ducks here too.
It would be soo cool to get some duck eggs and hatch them.
They would imprint and then for the rest of their lives we would get to enjoy the company of ducks.
From the fuzzy little footed wandering quackers to old friends who you can share a tuna fish sandwhich with now and again.
What a thought.
I can hear it now...a conversation that would go something like this:
"so what did you have for dinner?"
"we had hotdogs"
"we had ducks for dinner and we all ate tuna fish sandwhiches"
"you ate the ducks? And then the tuna?"
"no, the ducks ate with us, and we all had tuna"
"you eat with ducks?"
"yep. Great company and they are really good at keeping the flies down here."

it's Maggie.
Cool! Maggie was also the name of one of my cats. He was all grey, and his fur was so soft. Maybe you wonder why I said "he" since Maggie looks like a female name. Well the fact is that at that time I liked very much that show with Richard Dean Anderson... MacGyver. And my cousin too; actually he was much a greater fan than me. So we picked Maggie as the short form for that name.
Or maybe I don't remember the story well enough.. maybe we just liked that name, and then when we found out that it was a male and not a female (which we might have thought, considering that he was very small when we found him)... well at that point we used to say that it was only the short form for MacGyver.

I just made a short query to Wikipedia while reading your post.
What. The. Fuck.
I knew I know this guy from somewhere. Just take a moment to look at the picture they feature there. Captain O'Neil from the Stargate series. MacGuyver is Jack O'Neil. Damn.
I'm still astonished. Jaw dropped to the ground.
cu, w0lf.
Multiple exclamation marks are a sure sign for a diseased mind!

Heh yeah, after MacGyver he has done a lot of other things, which I haven't really followed as much as MacGyver. My cousin has all the episodes both in English and Italian, but I was just happy to watch it whenever was on. I am not such a great fan I guess :P
Anyway, last thing I have seen him in was Stargate, but I didn't know he also participated in General Hospital. I guess that I learn new things everyday huh?
I admit that I preferred him when he was in his thirties with his dark blonde/brownish hair longer than just that militar cut that he wears in the picture on Wikipedia. That hair like that, stained t-shirts, jeans and white sneakers were the things that made the guy look interesting according to me. Well interesting because of the role he was playing in MacGyver. I think that he was perfect for that.

I'm learning all kinds of new stuff. The name we picked for her was after watching her for a while and seeing her personality.
If she had been a boy who knows what we would have named her.
I know this woman who named her great dane who was a boy, bubbles.
The last dog I had I had decited that male or female the name was going to be Daisy.
There are just some names that feel good when you say them.
And some names that just work when it you attach it to the person/animal they belong to.
It's almost like it either completes them or tells you who they are.
Richard Dean Anderson...I remember watching him on All My Children, back when I watched soap operas.
I liked him in McGiver, and even though he was good in SG1, I wish they hadn't turned that movie into a series. Same with the Dead Zone.
I understand the thinking behind it, the movie was a great story and people want more so lets do a t.v. show.
It looses something in translation for me.
I'll watch to see if I like it, but usually I don't watch long.
Now if it's a series on t.v. and I like it and then they do a movie, like Star Trek, that seems to be better.
But maybe that's just me.
