As I promsied, I'd post the solution to the problem I discussed with you.

First of a howdy to all you NAOees, its been a while since I've been on (awww no more 3 white stars :P).

Okay, backtracking. I discovered a big problem one day. My computer is setup with 2 harddrives, a 60gb and a 300gb. The 60gb is my system disk, on which I have 1 NTFS partition containing my root windows install (now it also contains a SWAP partition for linux). My secondary drive contains a large NTFS partition and an ext3 partition (10gb at the front). One day I was running partition magic, trying to get that swap space put in (on the primary HD). It errored out, I'm sad, I reboot, windows boots, but my secondary HD doesn't work. Windows thinks its a blank RAW drive ready for initialization as a dynamic disk. Booting windows off of a cd (ie recovery console and BartPE of my flavor and null's flavor) however reads BOTH harddrives and their partitions.

Well, I don't know what exactly fixed it, but I can tell you what I did. I got testdisk (partition recovery, free) and did a bootsector recovery (had to scan just about every cylinder) since the bootsector and the bootsector backups didn't match (this is what test disk told me). I then used PMagic to move the partition around on the first disk to allow Pmagic to mess with the partition tables, eventually my partition tables said the NTFS partition took up the whole disk and the swap took up another 1024 mb (well technically 1027 point something) that didn't exist. I deleted the ext3, and voila my harddrive was working again!
