My new photo totally rules!

rosyxxx *** does the happy dance...

Okay, so all annoyances aside, I think I had my hair curled just right, and plastered to the side of my head with half a can of hairspray...the makeup done just so...and a firm refusal to show more than an enigmatic 'Mona Lisa' smile; all of this work for a driver's license photo that no one can laugh at for six more years. If I have to look at it every time I get pulled over for speeding, I don't want to look like an asshole who couldn't be bothered to fix her hair.

Yes, yes, I know...this is sooooo shallow and vain of me...but, hey, I'm a woman, and I am simultaneously supposed to look nice, while appearing not to have taken any time to pull myself together. We all know, though, that great driver's license photos don't usually happen by accident. It takes careful planning and tweaking. And resolve. Firm refusal to let the camera attendant goad you into any facial expression other than the one you want...and determination not to blink, but not to the excess of looking as if someone just shocked the hell out of you, or propped your eyes open with toothpicks. (Hint: that was the last driver's license...if you were wondering...frightening!)

Anyway, all jokes aside...I truly like my photo. It was a morning well wasted on vain pursuits.

P.S. And hey, what rules even more, is that this time I got sick, and I am barely sick...not like last year and the year before where everything I caught had me holding onto the toilet bowl for dear life. I just feel mildly shitty....which is actually quite wonderful! Come to think of comparison...anyway....

My mind is made up...not like my bed, which is a mess.
