In My Baby's Eyes

?% | 1

(This is a song I wrote that I am working on recording as we speak. I will put the recording up here when I've finished.)

In my babyís eyes
I see patient lies
And all the things I need to feel
In my babyís eyes
I see patient lies
And all the things that needs be real
In my babyís soul
I need no control
Protected from myself and me
And in my babyís soul
I need no control
And everything is beautiful to see

So beautiful, so beautiful
Beautiful to me

In my babyís mind
Love is always blind
Forgive me for the things I do
In my babyís mind
Love is always kind
She kiss me Ďtill Iím black and blue
In my babyís soul
I need no control
Protected from myself and me
And in my babyís soul
I need no control
And everything is beautiful to see

Itís so beautiful, itís so beautiful
Beautiful to me

I know I'm dead on the surface But I'm screaming underneath

Thoes are pretty amazing lirics. The muse really must be something to be able to touch something like this and bring it into reality.

I sometimes wonder what strand of energy must be anchored in my mind that sometimes strikes me blind and at other times presses, almost fully formed, writings and songs and images that were not there before.

Yes. That strand of energy. Although I've never heard it called that before, I know it by other names.

And when your plugged in to it, it does what it will.

It's hard not to do anything but smile. It's where I spend most of my days and nights.
It's, um, for lack of a better discription, the world of art...the matrix of creativity.
And it's huge.
I don't think it has any bounderies.
At least not that I've ever been able to discover. And it's the reason the word bordom doesn't exist in my vocabluary. :)

Re: In My Baby's Eyes

I liken it to being plugged into the matrix. When the moment comes along, it's like I am taken over by someone else and I am unaware, forced to the back of my mind while the words flow out.

Re: In My Baby's Eyes

Those are awesome lyrics. What kind of musical style do you have in mind for the recording? An acoustic guitar with a good melody and a good drum line would probably be how I'd envision it. Not something that slow but with a moderate pace, the vocals would have some reverb to give them more feeling.

Ok, enough of how I'd like to hear it. What would you do?

Re: In My Baby's Eyes

Well, it's got a very spanish feel to it mixed with a smooth jazz vocal. It's all written, just a matter of getting it to tracks and mixing. The problem is, I am not a drummer. I'm trying to learn a program called Reason that a friend gave me that has very life like sampled drums but it is not easy to do.

Hopefully this won't take too long or at the very least I can do a quick live one shot so that you can get a gist of how it goes.

Re: In My Baby's Eyes

So are you a singer? Do you aspire to be one? I'd love to be able to sing on some custom songs but my voice is not stable enough. I've been working on it but haven't gotten the stability in my range to be an effective singer.
