Scream yur guts out

I love all different kinds of music from Pink Floyd to Slipknot to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers basically anything but rap, pop, and r&b. But lately the only thing i've wanted to listen to is music involving alot of screams. The bands that i've been into lately are as follows:
Slipknot, Dry Kill Logic, The old Kill Switch, Inflames, Bleeding through, Heaven shall burn, and Atreyu
There are many others and alot you may never have heard of but these are a few that would best represent my recent musical taste.
I don't know i guess it just puts me in a good mood. There is no better memory that i posses than that of me being alone in my house rocking out to the hardest music that i can find and getting the worst head ache from all the hed banging.
I was just curious if anyone else loved this music as much as me and would care to talk about it and share other bands that i may like.

I agree with this, but ...

Slipknot, Dry Kill Logic, The old Kill Switch, Inflames, Bleeding through, Heaven shall burn, and Atreyu

doesnt sound 'hard' for me - except maybe Heaven Shall Burn. But this might be just because I've been listening to Death Metal for more than 9 years now. If you'd like to listen to some heavier stuff, let's give some bands out of the following list a try:

- Darkthrone - trance-like Black Metal, very unique style
- Dark Fortress - Melodic Black Metal
- Nokturnal Mortum - ukrainian/russian Folk/Viking Metal
- Torment - high quality Thrash Metal since 1984
- Aborted - Death Metal, sometimes melodic, but most times full load
- Cannibal Corpse - one of the classics within Death Metal
- Slayer (old) - one of the pioneers of Thrash/Speed Metal
- Six Feet Under - remember AC/DC? yeah, they made a nice cover version of 'TNT' - death metal-style
- The Excrementory Grindfuckers - probably only funny if you understand german :D - happy grindin' core
- Endstille - harsh nordic Black Metal
- Sepultura (old) - favorite songs: Territory (hey, Mr. Bush just'd love this song!), Chaos A.D-
- Soulfly - latest album is a smasher: Dark Ages - favorites: Babylon, Arise Again, Bleak
- Kataklysm - excellency in mid-tempo t(h)rashing - favorite album: Serenity In Fire, favorite songs: Blood On The Swans, Under The Bleeding Sun
- Vondur - freakish mixture between Death / Black Metal and old-school Rock'n Roll - favorite song: Love Me Tender, Rocka Rolla
- Master - Thrashing and Deathing the world for SO many bloody years - hell, what a fucking good music style - and very unique indeed!
- Eisregen - one of my favorite bands - raw, good texts, provocative, fucking good sound - current favorites: Elektro Hexe, Am Vorabend Der Schlacht, Abglanz Vom Licht, Blassblaue Lippen, Glas, Blutgeil
- Hypocrisy - favorite album: Into The Abbyss - we all like Peter Tägtren
- Fear Factory - although I dont like their current album that much, all in all its a great band performing equal great music ;)
- KMFDM / MDFMK - IDM = Industrial(ized) Death Metal - the one and only ...

that should be enough to get into for now, maybe someone wants to add something, too?! ;)

Multiple exclamation marks are a sure sign for a diseased mind!

I've been listening to a lot more hardcore lately, but not metal per se (well, KMFDM, like w0lf), but bands like Half the Battle, That Was Then, Clenched Fist, and some local Memphis hardcore. Fun stuff, it's been great for relieving some of the stress of college.

Re: Scream yur guts out

I strongly recommend System of a Down's first album (it's self titled). Although I like all their albums, their first is the best, the heaviest, and the most unknown. Great jumping around in the living room stuff. :)

But I can't find no place or nothin', where thrills are cheap, and love is divine
