Xml rpc api

Are there any hard numbers on the amount of usage the NAO XML RPC API is getting from users? I'm just curious if this is something people are really using rather than just getting the RSS feed.

**Hmm.. seems the Subject line is automatically downcased if you use all uppers, that's really silly**

Ok, maybe that wasn't the right question.

If you are reading this and you have used or are using the NAO API to do something, say something.

No responses... That pretty much answers my question. I don't see any advantages of it over the RSS feed. I'd like to be enlightened.

Like I told you by mail, it's quite a disappointment. Either Jaz enhances it in the near future or closes it complete down as nobody I know of is using it ('using' what?).

Re: Xml rpc api

I used to play around with it but never really needed to access NAO's data outside of NAO, so playing around is pretty much all I did.

Re: Xml rpc api

What did it give you that an RSS feed can't? It seems like overkill unless the API was broad in that you could read every post without actually logging into the website.

The ultimate website I'd like to see is something that is totally driven by web services that interface with a native GUI which builds a sweet user experience that you can't get from HTML.

That's exactly the functionality I needed. Feed post ID into NAO API, get full post body & metadata back.
