Hello everyone. This is my journal entry from the wine capital of the world, Italy.
So many things have happened, I don't even know where to start. Elena for christmas gave me this lovely cell phone. It has a camera and voice recorder. It also sends smses (of course it has to serve its central purpose :P). For you cell phone geeks, it is a Nokia 3220 model.
I'm using it to take pictures to document the rest of my trip. Maybe I will be able to buy a cord compatible with my phone so that I can upload these pictures for you all to see. Elena's mom makes her own pasta. It is certainly a fascinating thing to watch, and it just tastes wonderful.
She makes something called agnilotti (spelling?) which is a pasta casing with meat inside. It is quite tasty.
That is all for now. More later though.

Isn't this France? ;) Italy is the pasta capital I think ;)
France is producing kinda crappy wines lately, so the next best country for wine would be Italy ;) And Neil seems to enjoy our whites as well as reds.
Last French wine I drank was a Bordeaux, and I can safely say that it was pretty disgusting. My dad threw it down the drain, and that made me think that I wasn't the only one to think that :D
In my opinion, there is nothing better than a good Barbera DOC made in 2002 or 2003. Also 2004 was a good year though for that kind of wine.
As for pasta capital... well pasta was first made by Chinese people actually. Then of course the Italians make their own fresh pasta, which is different than the one bought, but still... I guess Italy can be considered the capital of pasta, simply because we eat it quite often huh? ;)
