NiQuE ** wants to know...

I need some help!

It has been a while since my last post but I have had very little inspiration and/or time in the last few months to write anything that is remotely intelligent or thought out in anyway, shape, or form. I guess that is what life as a student brings...

My reason for this post is due to my frustrations with windows media player. If anyone could help me fix this problem, I would greatly appreciate it!!

WMP stops responding half way through a song, slows my computer right down, and starts thinking for a good 5 minutes until WMP finally shuts down everything is back up to speed. Everything else on my computer runs fast and reliably except when I try to use WMP. This started happening only 4 days ago and before that I had made no apparent changes to WMP at all, so I do not know why this is happening.

I have tried to roll back any updates I have made to wmp, but this doesn't seem to work either. I have tried restoring my computer to a different time where WMP worked fine, but even after doing so, the problem still occurs. I have run a virus scan and it comes up clean. I have run some spy-ware programs and have deleted anything that has come up, no go. I think that this problem can be fixed without re-formatting my HD... Any suggestions?

Re: I need some help!

I second that. VLC has to be the best player in the whole world, and it plays next to anything (you can even feed it partially downloaded video CD images and the such.)

When life hands you a lemon, that's 40% of your RDA of vitamin C taken care of.
