I am talking, of course, about Lego.

Originally only used by children for playing around with (and lets face it, who doesnt have happy childhood memories of Lego?), its now morphed into, among other things, powerful tools and intricate models.

A Rubiks Cube Solver.

A Harpsichord.

A three by one by one and a half feet model of the Matrix's Nebuchadnezzar hovercraft.

And my personal favourite, a Difference Engine built out of Lego, like Babagge's.

Is there nothing these wonderful blocks of plastic godliness cant do?

I think not.

Well there are the obvious answers such as cure cancer, and perform neuro-surgery. :P However, I do have to say I share your love at of the simple pleasure that comes from seeing what people can construct of LEGOs. However, you left off the greatest thing ever accomplished with Legos!

The LEGO tribute to Monty Python and the Holy Grail!

Dude. Way cool. I am smiling from ear to ear. When I went to Denmark to visit my mom's family in 1980 we saw Legoland...but this stuff is awesome! A freakin' harpsicord! And the Monty Python thing...I wish I could see the animation video....

My mind is made up...not like my bed, which is a mess.
