What is a birthday?

The angels do not descend from the heavens and pour streams of light over my blessed head to mark the occasion, nor all the meanwhile, does the faint sound of hallelujah echoing from the chorus of heaven itself parade across my path.

The clouds part do not part and the sun does not smile down upon me. Rain clouds to not turn into white fluffy evanescent fairy tale clouds which mark the beginning of a beautiful day.

The people I meet, do not congratulate me on a job well done. My boss does not give me a promotion and offer his office to me without intermission. My friends do not offer to pay for lunch and hold a surprise party for when I return home with all the ones I love.

It is just another day.

I am at work now, in my break, so I should keep it short. I just wanted to see what everybody was doing here on Nao while I was bursting my ass looking for things on the yellowpages, and replying to my customers.

Since I am at it, I will post here (so that nobody can deny I have ever said this) that I love you so incredibly much, Hawkeye. You're my everything.

Depends on what you're doing. If you are still studying/in training/having no job you'll feel kinda rusty and old, like if you were three times that age.

If you believe in destiny, some cultures think birthdays are very important. Not necessarily the day itself, but the year and season you were born determine your deminor, habits and future.

In short, every birthday gets you closer to what you were born to do. Congradulations on forging your destiny. :)

Birthdays do, or has for me became less signifigant as i get older (im 23), i actually feel awkward sometimes, my mum bless her heart still puts a banner on the wall, cooks and stuff which makes me feel a bit guilty actually and i have to act more excited than i am.

But kids love it, so thats a good thing i suppose.
