Andromacha has been a little quicker today, what a pity. So, Madonna isn't new stuff. On the Main Street sign I saw something different, namely The Black Crowes, but I could be wrong then. Also we saw The White Stripes elsewhere, namely in the pedestrian crossings. I'm not sure if the white men on the left side could be The Manic Street Preachers. Yesterday we discussed about seeing Pavement everywhere on the ground.

According to Google, it appears that we're not the only ones brooding over this picture (surprise surprise!). Among other band lists I've found a cool server that appears to tell you whether a particular band is on that picture or not. Unfortunately you have to copy the (url-encoded) band name encoded into the URL and get an ugly machine-readable response. That's why I've taken the liberty of writing a script to tap that server's infinite knowledge and wisdom.
It basically works like this - you type in a band name and hit the Check button and it replies with "Sorry" or "You be the hero". (If at first you don't succeed, try adding/removing a "the" to/from the band name. It appears to find "The Cars" but not "Cars", and "Smashing Pumpkins" but not "The Smashing Pumpkins". It's not case sensitive tho.)
