Interesting, and funny things keep happening lately.
For one, my friend Ashley came back from Sedona, and her head was killing her. We were laying on her living room floor, looking at the crystals we were swapping with each other, and I picked up a book on crystals I had given her, in order to look for anything related to headaches. I couldn't find anything listed by ailments such as 'headaches', but my eyes fell onto a listing for "stone roses" (I think that's what it was...), and I looked it up. It was under hematite. I scanned the page looking for anything interesting. My eyes fell upon this line about how hematite had been used as one of the symbols of the Third Reich, and that it had symbolized "blood and power"? I thought: Ew.
Then the next line said that in the Sudan hematite was used to heal headaches. Imagine that. There it was. Totally unrelated, in my opinion, to "stone roses", or whatever the listing had been. She grabbed a piece and held it to her forehead like an ice pack. If you've ever felt hematite, then you'd know it can be really cool. {No pun intended. :-)}
Besides that, on a funnier note, I just signed up on a Reiki site as 'sillyrabbit', and zen shows up and uses that very term in his post. Then this guy I met at work who was so full of kindness told me that he wanted to hug me, and squeeze me, and call me George! That's from Bugs Bunny. Ya know...carrot freak extraordinaire? Not to mention, that that phrase was something said often betwixt myself and a certain person who came here once upon a time, and whom I need to finally, once and for all: FORGIVE. A certain person we shall call 'Mr. PotatoHead'.
Not to mention as well, this paragraph from Richard Dannelley's "Sedona: Beyond the Vortex":
Interestingly enough, it seems that one of the primary tests of ascension is not whether we are obedient to the entities we sometimes refer to as "gods", but whether we will accept responsibility for ourselves as sovereign entities within the universe and simply say NO to entities who seek to control humanity with illusions of guilt, sin, and fear, accepting responsibility as sovereign free-will beings who create reality for ourselves. The paradox within the paradox is that the lesser gods who demand obedience and inflict pain also appear to be our teachers of ultimate freedom.
Of course, I'd also venture that the reason for the last sentence, is just of 'necessity'. How else do you move on except by finding a way to integrate the experience in such a way that you can find healing from it? But most of all, I think the book fell open to that page for a darn good reason. To push me one step further toward forgiveness -- both for him, myself and everyone else. He really tried to play 'God', just like some other people, including doctors do. And I've got a lot of doctors to forgive...mostly for costly mistakes they made because they were human.
The stuff about the carrot and Bugs Bunny was strange, but I think cute. And the thing about my girlfriend's headache was just a nice little synchronicity. Ditto, the bunny rabbit that ran by my car when I dropped off the errant Reiki healer. I wonder what's up with all the bunny stuff?
Has anyone had similar experiences? I'd love to hear...of course, if anyone replies in the coming weeks, I won't be able to check as often. My computer is about to be put on hold.
If mountain goats like living at high elevations, why do none live in high rise apartment buildings?
