Reading What Sucks

There is a very long list of things that piss me off. I'm sure everyone has one as long or longer, but that isn't really relavent. Right now, at the top of that list of mine are people that just can't get to the fucking point.

Earlier this morning I was reading my Intro. to Philosophy homework and I found myself getting more and more distract and even falling asleep during a passage on freewill and determinism. While the subject is quite interesting, the excerpts from a few of the philosopher's essays/books/whatever on the subject weren't...at all. Why? Because it took them seven or eight paragraphs to actually get around to saying what they wanted to say.

I understand that in any given subject there is a need to explain but seriously, if you aren't well spoken enough to get your point across in under ten pages of bullshit, then you really should rethink what it is you're writing or saying. Unless of course your in the Senate and your goal is a fillibuster. *sarcasm*

Yes, this is a rant, yes its probably spam, but damn it, I'm tired of trying to learn things from rambling, boring texts.

Yeah I know what you mean. I wanna post stuff but damn if my head isn't empty for stuff to write about. I got so much crap going on that I can't concentrate for 2 seconds on anything that I want to do. I want to start writing again (poetry) but damn if I just can't get started again... I need a vacation to get my head sorted out.

I'm still here, I've just been kind of busy. My girlfriend has had some health problems (actually just got back from the hospital about twelve hours ago), college workload sucks, blah blah blah. But I'm here, so yay. As for textbooks that can't get to the point, those are definately driving me to the brink of insanity. I made the mistake of taking "Environmental Philosophy" this semester, and the ~15% of the writers who have aren't crazy, egotistic, illogical, or otherwise wasteful of my time and effort fail to make their point very quickly or capably. It's enough to drive a man to drink (and I very wisely gave up getting drunk for Lent).
