Reading Current Events

I am in holidays now. It is hot, of course, but very nice here. Still I am searching for something in between. I mean I am always complaining about Europes weather: Sometimes too hot and in winter too cold. And here it is also too hot but the water in the pool is very cold :-P

What are your dream destinations or maybe which place on earth is your place to settle down/grow old with your love? :-)

Come on, is it so hard to tell where you want to travel to or where you want to live or is my post just too dumb to spend time with? :-(

Hey, Orchid.. you haven't been ignored completely :) I just now find some time to list my 5 favorite places to spend holidays at. It is hard to do it, so I guess that everyone needs a moment to reflect about it.
Anyway, here are mine:

1. Sardinia (one of the isles belonging to Italian territory)
2. Germany
3. Holland
4. France
5. Greece

I've already visited all these places, but there are many other countries I'd like to live or have holidays in... USA, Finland, Spain (my parents went there without me last year.. I was attending exams at schools. Argh!)...

That is all for now. Maybe I will add some other places in the near future though. My geography knowledge is too limited :P

Don't feel that way Orchid. I need time to reply to this post. This is something that requires some thinking, and it (thinking part) has been on my TODO list for a long time now ;).

Love is blind, but marriage is a real eye opener.

Okay, here's my list...

0. My zeroth destination would be Switzerland (the Bollywood movies (Hindi Movies) have done a really good job in selling and marketing Switzerland to us). Switzerland is the number 1 destination for us Indians, it has been marketed as the heaven on earth. So, I would definitely like to visit that! Well, make it the whole of Europe, as whenever we make my trip to Switzerland, it will be probably a trip to cover most of the places in Europe, as we are more interested in the historical monuments and the good scenaries.

1. My next destination would be Australia. I want to enjoy the national parks out there, the beaches, and would just like to spend a lot of time there leisuring around, and yes, would love to watch a cricket match out there, it's a lot of fun to watch cricket matches in Australia, the public is simply great, it's like a picnic out there. I would also like to visit New Zealand in that visit, because of its lush landscapes, the snow-capped mountains, etc.

2. This would be Canada, during fall. I have seen a lot of pictures of Canada during fall, and would love to be there during that time.

3. Mauritious (don't know if the spelling is correct) is next on my list. It has got wonderful beaches, it's an island somewhere in the Indian Ocean, and I would love to spend one full vacation out there.

4. The last on my list is Japan. I am very interested in knowing some Japanese people, as their culture has always fascinated me. I would love to go there and visit some places and would love to make friends with a lot of Japanese people.

I live in the South (of the United States), and to me, this is heaven. My dream home when my DH and I are older is a cabin up in the mountains with a river in the back, so we can tie up our innertubes and float in the water all day. Dinner will be home grown tomatoes, a cucumber salad, and cornbread. At night, we can sit on the screened in porch and listen to the crickets. My DH makes me laugh every day, and I thank God for that! I'm sure that TV will suck so bad by then that he will be my only form of entertainment!

Secondly, I did reply to your Hakkinen question, if you meant how I got to know him. Just have a look at the previous posts ;)
