The one big topic these day: how to be a computer expert and still stay a thinking, feeling human being? I dont know. These days, I'm feeling I've get sucked up too much from the matter, stick too much to irrelevant, obsolete behaviours and dont tread my beloved one the way I should.
Somebody else maybe knows how to get out of this? I've been seriously into computers since 1991. Thats 15 bloody years. And today I think I've lost my sense, my feelings for a live without that machine. I stay logical and cold. And because I'm totally uncreative when without this former tool
Does anybody out there know how to get out of this vicious circle?
Multiple exclamation marks are a sure sign for a diseased mind!
I have the same problem. Well it's not that much developed as yours, but i sometimes being left out of the society, by being different. :/
You just need to pick up some non-computer social hobbies and you'll be fine. Instant success not guaranteed, but you'll get there. The key is to meet people - and avoid computer topics. It really helps.
You have to take a risk to gain something. Simple as that. Do something non-pc related once in a while ;]
"Life is a queue. You come in, hang around for a bit, get some service, then depart."
For me, the answer was friends. Particularly, my awesome girlfriend. We do do some computer related things together as we are both geeks of varying degrees and interests...
But we have enough in common to draw each other together, and enough different to keep us interested.
I should be ashamed of myself.
