Reading Rating Complaints

Problems rating.....

I guess I should direct this to null and/or jaz.

Every time I try to rate a post as anything other than flamebait, the rating never takes. I have to actually click on flamebait to get the screen describing the rating, then choose my excellent, mediocre, etc. there for it to be actually acknowledged by the site. I afraid that I will accidentally give an awesome post a nasty rating if I keep doing it this way.

Am I the only NAO'er with this problem? If so, I need to know what I am doing wrong so as to correct it.

Talk to me, let me know if I'm really as big as a techno-tard as I think I am, or if it is some sort of glitch-thingy.

(I hereby patent and copyright the term 'techno-tard'. Subsequent charges will be accumulated upon its unauthorized use.)

Re: Problems rating.....

Just a wild guess, do you have some aggressive kind of pop-up blocker active?

What browser and OS are you using? And with what ISP? As null already mentioned: are you using some very aggressive pop-up blocker? If you're using Firefox, change the pop-up settings to 'allow from this site'. Another option would be to force any newly opened window into a tab, like I do (probably based on Tab Mix Plus, dont know for sure).

I used to have the exact same problem. I was using netscape, then I switched to Mozilla and it worked.

I must say, it's much easier to mistakenly give the wrong rating with that little drop list than it is with a whole page (speaking from experience :p).

But I can't find no place or nothin', where thrills are cheap, and love is divine
