Reading Rating Complaints

I can't believe someone rated zen's post anything other than excellent. I know ratings don't matter, but still...

Sadly, I will say that I have ruffled peoples' feathers. So what...that's the stuff of life. I wouldn't be alive if I didn't rub someone the wrong way.
I will say that I thought that was a decent comment, and souldn't have got a "failing grade." But what does that matter. My comment was meant for you, and if you got something from it, then that's my reward.

My only dispute with poor ratings is with those people who hit-and-run: give a shitty rating, but don't say why. If I flog someone, I will usually make it a point to say why--otherwise, what does the flame-receiving person gain?

I'll bet that just took 5 years off my life--but GODDAMM if it wasn't worth every second
