No, this is not the world's clumsiest attempt at software piracy. :-)
I have two computers with Windows license stickers on them, which - technically - entitle me to legally run Windows XP Professional on them. The problem is that I cannot do so, because I'm not in pssession of the appropriate Windows XP Pro CD.
As you might have already guessed, Microsoft tells me to contact the computer manufacturer (Compaq, now HP), which in turns directs me to Microsoft.
I'm aware that Windows XP is easily available on every file-sharing platform ever conceived, but then again, that's the Corporate edition which will not accept my non-corporate keys. If I wanted to pirate it I'd just download the CD image and a keygen and not bother to write this post here.
So, if anybody would be so kind as to provide me with an English copy of Windows XP Professional, not the Corporate or VLK edition (I've already got that one), that would be great. Of course I'd pay for the burning and shipping... or I'll happily accept a URL to download it and send a packet of chocolate.
