Reading Linux

With Mandriva 2006, Amaya 9.53 (web authoring program) worked as expected. When I moved to Mandriva 2007, the same Amaya 9.53 .rpm seemed to install, but when trying to execute I get the message "...received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'".

Since this program worked in Mandriva 2006, I suspect there is a slight incompatibility now that I would like to solve !

I would be interested in hearing the experiences (good or bad) that anyone else has had with this combination. By the way, Amaya 9.54, which I tried yesterday, produces the same error message.
